Cancellation Policy (Room Bookings)<\/h2>\n

This policy governs cancellations and modifications of room bookings made with Basundhara Beach Resort, whether via our website enquiry form, phone, or any third-party booking channel (subject to that channel’s own terms, where applicable).<\/p>\n

3.1 How to Cancel<\/h3>\n

All cancellations must be communicated directly to the Resort by phone (7812076675) or through the contact form on our website, and are effective only once acknowledged by us. Please quote your booking reference\/name and dates while cancelling.<\/p>\n

3.2 Cancellation Charges<\/h3>\n

As per our current terms and conditions:<\/p>\n

  • Room cancellations are subject to a charge of 40% of the total booking amount<\/strong>, regardless of how far in advance the cancellation is made, unless otherwise agreed in writing at the time of booking.<\/li>\n
  • The remaining balance (if any advance beyond the cancellation charge was paid) will be refunded as per Section 3.5 below.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    (If management wishes to offer a more generous, time-tiered policy \u2014 e.g., full refund if cancelled 7+ days ahead, 50% if cancelled 3\u20136 days ahead, no refund within 48 hours \u2014 this section can be revised accordingly. As published, the Resort’s existing terms apply a flat 40% charge on any cancellation.)<\/em><\/p>\n

    3.3 No-Shows<\/h3>\n

    If you do not arrive on your scheduled check-in date and do not inform us in advance, this will be treated as a no-show.\u00a0<\/span>No refund will be issued<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span>for no-shows, and the full booking amount (including any advance paid) will be forfeited.<\/p>\n

    3.4 Date Changes \/ Rescheduling<\/h3>\n

    Requests to reschedule dates (instead of cancelling) will be accommodated where possible, subject to room availability, and may be permitted without the 40% cancellation charge\u00a0<\/span>at the Resort’s discretion<\/strong>, provided the request is made a reasonable time before the original check-in date. Rescheduling is subject to any applicable rate difference for the new dates.<\/p>\n

    3.5 Refund Processing<\/h3>\n

    Where a refund is due after deducting applicable cancellation charges:<\/p>\n

    • Refunds will be processed to the original mode of payment.<\/li>\n
    • Please allow\u00a0<\/span>[5\u201310 business days]<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span>for the amount to reflect, depending on your bank or payment provider.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      3.6 Early Check-Out<\/h3>\n

      Guests who check out earlier than their booked duration will not be entitled to a refund for the unused nights, unless otherwise agreed by management in advance.<\/p>\n

      3.7 Force Majeure<\/h3>\n

      In cases of cancellation due to circumstances beyond either party’s reasonable control (e.g., government travel restrictions, natural disasters, or official cyclone\/weather warnings for the Mandarmani coast), the Resort will make reasonable efforts to offer a date change or credit note in lieu of the standard cancellation charge, at its discretion.<\/p>\n

      3.8 Related Property Rules<\/h3>\n

      Guests should also note the Resort’s general terms, including: check-in 12:00\u00a0<\/span>PM \/ check-out 10:00\u00a0<\/span>AM (late check-out attracts additional charges), full payment of dues at check-in, no outside food permitted on the property, and applicable fines for damages, smoking in rooms, or other rule violations, as listed on our Terms & Conditions page.<\/p>\n
